JACKSON, MS — A new study from Yale University found that wars in Syria, Iran, and Lebanon stop during U.S. presidential elections.
Local resident Lee Beauregard said, “I’m glad we can just put aside the bloodshed and seething hatred when debates about U.S. politics come up. It speaks to the power of the mass media that they can just tell ISIS to stop for a minute and pay attention to the real problem in the world: Donald Trump might become president for crying out loud!”
This study confirms the recent findings from Columbia University showing that during televised appearances of presidential candidates there is a phenomenon the authors of the study called “an eerie though unmistakable pause in warfare happening across the world.”
